THE NIGHT UNFOLDS IN THREE SEAMLESS CHAPTERS:Intro (2.5h): The opening DJ set sets the tone for the night and creates the perfect atmosphere.

Show (70 Min): An immersive ballet performance by the Berlin Ballet Company, in which the dancers present their virtuosity in the middle of the crowd and on three stages. The performance follows a character who loses himself in the night and – like Odysseus – is in search of himself. This journey is told with classically powerful ballet technique, impressive visuals and a driving techno soundtrack that transforms the space into a mesmerising mix of theatre and club.

The show’s soundtrack – composed and performed live by Belgrade DJ producer Marko Nastić.

After-Show-Party (2.25h): After the show, the party continues straight away – with a strong DJ line-up that keeps the energy of the performance going until the early hours of the morning.

FAQ

„A Techno Ballet Odyssey“ is a complete, 70-minute, immersive ballet piece with eight dancers and an opera singer – staged on three stages with costumes, lighting and video effects and accompanied by a live DJ set. It is not an excerpt or performance fragment, but a full-length work.

The entire evening is organised as a continuous, ten-hour club night – with a DJ line-up, powerful sound, bars and spectacular visuals. The show and party do not alternate, but merge into one whole. The party continues seamlessly into the show. And the show is also part of the party.

The story follows a main character who loses himself in the night and seeks his way in the stream of people – like Odysseus on a sea. The three stages appear like islands that he reaches and leaves again. In between lies the crowd, a moving sea of bodies and energy. The dancers appear and disappear in it, disappear into the crowd and return to the light. The result is a journey in which the audience not only watches, but becomes part of the narrative – where party and show become one.

The performance will be accompanied by an exclusive DJ set by Marko Nastić – techno DJ producer from Belgrade. He has been part of the European scene since the 1990s and is known for powerful, hypnotic sets. For „A Techno Ballet Odyssey“, he has developed his own composition, which he will play himself during the performance.

The show will be performed by the dancers of the Berlin Ballet Company – a new international ensemble from Berlin. The company dancers contribute their backgrounds from leading European ballet companies and present modern interpretations of ballet at the highest professional level in new formats and contexts.

In Cologne, there is an extended after-show party on Friday and Saturday evening, which develops into a whole club night from 11 pm to 6 am – with three DJ sets and a strong line-up. If you can’t make it to the show or simply want to experience the night in the Bootshaus as a club, you can join us for the after-party only. There are separate tickets for this.

The VIP ticket offers access to an exclusive raised platform right next to one of the three stages. The area has its own bar and offers a more private atmosphere with personalised service throughout the night.

The first 2.5 hours are part of the pre-show – with DJ* and in an atmospheric setting. If you arrive a little later, that’s no problem.

Yes, in addition to drinks, there is also street food and snacks – in the designated catering area.

Yes, admission is only permitted from the age of 18. Our event is a dance party with alcohol served and is aimed at an adult audience.
